Bing.com: Microsoft reduced the retention of private data at six months
Microsoft changes its policy on retention of personal data on its engine Bing.com, taking into account the recommendations of the EU.
With its engine Bing.com, Microsoft intends to comply with the recommendations of the European Article 29 on protection of personal data.
The Redmond company announced its intention to reduce to six months retention of private data of users of the search tool online.
Specifically, Microsoft is committed to remove the entire Internet IP address (associated with a Windows Live account with the name and address of the user) after six months against 18 months now.
